This year I decided to go with a classic : the Witch.

The pattern

I knew I wanted a fun costume with a lot of colors and textures, so I chose a pattern that offered many options. Simplicity 9166 is a great pattern with many variations, I decided on view C.

The fabric

I noticed this mesh fabric with little bats and thought it would look great layered on top of a full skirt.

Mesh – VAMPIRE – 001 – Orange – Fabricville

To complete the dress I chose a variety of beautiful basic Satins in black, orange and cream.

Solid Satin – SADE – 012 – Burnt Orange – Fabricville

Conclusion

These fabrics were all very easy to work with and the project turned out beautifully!
