The flowers are blooming, the trees are coming back to life, and the wind has never felt more refreshing. <!--more-->However, wardrobe transitioning can be tricky for me especially during early spring. Well, I have finally found one of the perfect outfits to wear during this time&#8230;tunics!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-2269 \" src=\"https:\/\/blog.fabricville.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/rsz_dsc_0060-683x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"441\" height=\"661\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.fabricville.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/rsz_dsc_0060.jpg 683w, https:\/\/blog.fabricville.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/rsz_dsc_0060-200x300.jpg 200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 441px) 100vw, 441px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>When I looking through Fabcriville&#8217;s new spring fabric collection, I was looking for fabrics that would be comfortable and weather appropriate for the upcoming warmth.<\/p>\n<h4>Fabric choice:<\/h4>\n<p>I chose a white <a href=\"https:\/\/fabricville.com\/en\/cotton-gauze-white.html\">cotton<\/a> gauze fabric. It is a very light weight fabric, perfect for flowing clothing pieces like blouses and dresses. It is slightly see-through so items like dresses and skirts will have to be lined. \u00a0There are so many color variations &#8211; papaya, maize, khaki, denim, black. You can find them all <a href=\"https:\/\/fabricville.com\/en\/catalogsearch\/result\/?q=cotton+gauze\">here<\/a>. \u00a0I pre-washed and pressed it before starting my project.<\/p>\n<h4><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-2283 \" src=\"https:\/\/blog.fabricville.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/rsz_dsc_0062-683x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"445\" height=\"667\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.fabricville.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/rsz_dsc_0062.jpg 683w, https:\/\/blog.fabricville.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/rsz_dsc_0062-200x300.jpg 200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 445px) 100vw, 445px\" \/><\/h4>\n<h4>Pattern choice:<\/h4>\n<p>I used McCalls\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/fabricville.com\/en\/catalogsearch\/result\/?q=M7472+Misses%27+Raglan+Sleeve%2C+Button-Down+Shirts+And+Tunics++%28size%3A+6-8-10-12-14%29\">7472<\/a>\u00a0View F. It is a loose-fitting button front tunic with raglan sleeves and a collar.\u00a0The pattern suggests using lightweight wovens. This was my first time working with cotton gauze and did not realize how tricky it could be to work with. It took me a while to get the hang of it to avoid stretching it out the wrong way. I only noticed my pockets had moved significantly after I had attached both. I eliminated the pockets (mainly because I messed up) and the button cuffs. Instead, I put in elastic at the hem of the sleeve as it worked better with my fabric and I also tend to roll my sleeve up all the time.<\/p>\n<h4><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-2268 \" src=\"https:\/\/blog.fabricville.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/rsz_3dsc_0045-683x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"443\" height=\"665\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.fabricville.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/rsz_3dsc_0045.jpg 683w, https:\/\/blog.fabricville.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/rsz_3dsc_0045-200x300.jpg 200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 443px) 100vw, 443px\" \/><\/h4>\n<h4>Styling:<\/h4>\n<p>I paired my tunic with black leggings and heels just like the pattern photo shows. I am so in love with this look. It is comfortable, fun, yet trendy and I can only imagine all the different fabrics this can be made in. Do you have any perfect spring outfits?
