Hello dear sewing community!<\/p>\n

I am very pleased to once again share my most recent make with you! After 6 wonderful years as a stay-at-home mom, I rejoined the workforce a few months ago. Needless to say, my current wardrobe consisted mostly of casual pieces and loungewear. My closet was in desperate need of work appropriate garments!<\/p>\n

I find shirtdresses to be incredibly versatile and universally flattering. I chose the Vogue 9345 pattern<\/a> because I was instantly attracted to the notched collar detail.<\/p>\n

The pattern called for lightweight soft fabrics, but I chose the Morocco stretch shirting<\/a> for a more structured look. This fabric is extremely comfortable to wear and perfect for Spring!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

I made the following adjustments for fit:<\/p>\n

-I chose size 14 according to the finished garment measurements printed on the pattern<\/p>\n

-I made a 3\/4 inch swayback adjustment<\/p>\n

-I shortened the sleeves and hem to suit my height<\/p>\n

-I made a combination of views A and C for the sleeves and skirt length.<\/p>\n

This was a very straight forward sew, simple enough for beginners in my opinion. It came together quickly and I am quite happy with the outcome!<\/p>\n

This will be a great staple piece in my new work wardrobe!<\/p>\n
