I say that because in Qu\u00e9bec there are only two seasons: really cold and really hot. I love Spring and Fall, but they seem to last for only a few weeks! That is why I love coordinates, you can mix and match the different pieces and add layers as needed.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>The pattern<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For my Spring project, I chose a Butterick pattern,#6775 :Misses&#8217; &amp; Women&#8217;s Jacket, Sash, Dress &amp; Jumpsuit<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-7053\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.fabricville.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/pattern_bluedress.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"165\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.fabricville.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/pattern_bluedress.jpg 487w, https:\/\/blog.fabricville.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/pattern_bluedress-219x300.jpg 219w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 165px) 100vw, 165px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Jacket has sash. Dress &amp; jumpsuit have front sash &amp; cutout back. Available in sizes 8 \u2013 24W.<\/p>\n<p>I initially planned on making the jumpsuit but settled on sewing the dress with matching jacket instead. It is such a lovely pattern! What attracted me to this pattern were the special details, like the twisted sash and the cutout back.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-7047\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.fabricville.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/B.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"151\" height=\"168\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.fabricville.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/B.png 869w, https:\/\/blog.fabricville.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/B-270x300.png 270w, https:\/\/blog.fabricville.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/B-755x840.png 755w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 151px) 100vw, 151px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>The fabric<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>When browsing through the Fabricville website, I landed upon this beautiful embroidered cotton <a href=\"https:\/\/fabricville.com\/en\/embroidered-cotton-leafs-blue.html\">Embroidered cotton &#8211; Leafs &#8211; Blue | Fabricville<\/a><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-7046\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.fabricville.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/C.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"141\" height=\"142\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.fabricville.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/C.jpg 820w, https:\/\/blog.fabricville.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/C-298x300.jpg 298w, https:\/\/blog.fabricville.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/C-755x761.jpg 755w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 141px) 100vw, 141px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I thought it would be perfect for this special dress and would also look great for the jacket. It is 100% cotton so it was very easy for work with.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>The making of<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I first stitched up a muslin using an old sheet to make sure to get a proper fit. I was pleasantly surprised, no modifications needed! I did however choose to lower the neckline by 1.5 inches. I found this to be more comfortable. I then proceeded to cut into my fabric. They can be worn together or as separates, and the jacket can be worn with or without the tie.
