This <a href=\"http:\/\/Light Weight Suiting - LEONARD - Marble - Midnight \u2014 Fabricville\">Leonard lightweight twill suiting<\/a> caught my eye because it is slightly textured and has a very fluid drape. The fabric&#8217;s color is a nice mix of midnight blue.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-7783 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.fabricville.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/lightweight-suiting.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"715\" height=\"702\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.fabricville.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/lightweight-suiting.png 715w, https:\/\/blog.fabricville.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/lightweight-suiting-300x295.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 715px) 100vw, 715px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-7782 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.fabricville.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/M8099-736x1024.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"736\" height=\"1024\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.fabricville.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/M8099-736x1024.png 736w, https:\/\/blog.fabricville.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/M8099-216x300.png 216w, https:\/\/blog.fabricville.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/M8099-755x1050.png 755w, https:\/\/blog.fabricville.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/M8099.png 772w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 736px) 100vw, 736px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The pattern I picked is <a href=\"http:\/\/M8099 #LinaMcCalls - Misses' Shorts &amp; Pants (size: S-M-L-XL) \u2014 Fabricville\">McCall\u2019s M8099<\/a>. This high-waist style comes with oversized back pockets, and side cargo pockets. Although I love the style, cargo pockets do not flatter my silhouette. I opted to make the pants without oversized side pockets.\u00a0Here are the only modifications that I made to the pattern:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Graded between two sizes to accommodate my smaller waist and larger hips<\/li>\n<li>Raised the back waist by an inch<\/li>\n<li>Lengthened the legs by adding elasticized cuffs at the hem<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-7789 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.fabricville.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/Jogger-pocket-576x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"576\" height=\"1024\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.fabricville.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/Jogger-pocket-576x1024.jpg 576w, https:\/\/blog.fabricville.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/Jogger-pocket-169x300.jpg 169w, https:\/\/blog.fabricville.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/Jogger-pocket-864x1536.jpg 864w, https:\/\/blog.fabricville.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/Jogger-pocket-1152x2048.jpg 1152w, https:\/\/blog.fabricville.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/Jogger-pocket-755x1342.jpg 755w, https:\/\/blog.fabricville.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/Jogger-pocket-scaled.jpg 1440w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 576px) 100vw, 576px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>These pants are easy to sew; it only took me a couple of hours to finish them. Here\u2019s the order of assembly I followed:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Front pockets<\/li>\n<li>Side leg seams<\/li>\n<li>Inside leg seams<\/li>\n<li>Center front and center back seams<\/li>\n<li>Waistband<\/li>\n<li>Leg cuffs<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>I consider this project to be easy and quick. I highly recommend this pattern if you are looking to sew a quick jogger with the option of cargo pockets. This pattern would work well with various light to medium-weight flowy fabrics such as cr\u00eape or satin. Although I\u2019ve sewn multiple pairs of joggers over the years for the blog, I prefer this pair because the legs are a bit roomier, and the rise is higher. If you prefer a slimmer leg and a mid-rise style, I would highly recommend the <a href=\"https:\/\/fabricville.com\/products\/jalie-pattern-3676-vanessa-fluid-pants\">Jalie Vanessa sewing pattern<\/a>.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Fit for every day, joggers are a style of casual pants that have become very popular in recent years.
