This spring, social networks are bursting with inspiration for linen vest-trouser ensembles. It’s the perfect casual outfit for the beautiful days ahead.<\/p>\n

I was immediately charmed when the Butterick pattern by Lisette B6901<\/a> appeared last year. The vest features false welt pockets on the front and two ties on the back. Although I like the pants offered in this pattern, it’s not the most flattering style for my figure. For my pants, I opted for the Simplicity S9647 pattern<\/a>. It’s a pants pattern with a flat front and straight legs.<\/p>\n

Every spring, I look forward to Fabricville’s new linen collection<\/a>. It’s my favorite fabric! I chose Paris linen<\/a> for my design, but the Vera collection<\/a> would work just as well. Since this vest is intended to be worn with nothing underneath, I opted for a soft and breathable cotton voile<\/a> lining.<\/p>\n

The vest and pants can easily be made by advanced sewing novices. The only technicalities for these patterns are the buttonholes for the vest and the zipper for the pants.<\/p>\n
