Hello, fellow sewing enthusiasts!\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I can’t help but share my latest sewing adventure with you all, especially since it involves some delightful fabrics from Fabricville. There’s something truly magical about finding the perfect fabric for your project, and let me tell you, Fabricville never disappoints. This time of year just begs for comfortable loungewear that you can spend weekends in, cozy on the couch.<\/span><\/p>\n

For this project, I chose their cozy sweatshirt fleece, a fabric that feels like a warm hug on a chilly day. The Organic Jogging Fleece collection<\/a> features a rainbow of colour options.\u00a0 Take a look to find colours that strike your fancy! I used Light Lilac<\/a> to coordinate with my printed bottoms.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Using the Jalie 4346 – Caroline – Raglan Tee and Tunic pattern<\/a>, I crafted a comfortable top that I’m absolutely in love with. I opted for the short-sleeved version with a bottom band and a classic crew neck. The sweatshirt fleece was a dream to work with, gliding smoothly under my fingers as I guided it through my trusty serger. I love the efficiency and professional finish my serger gives to my projects, and this top was no exception.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Now, here comes the interesting part: the hemming. Usually, I would turn to my coverstitch machine for this job, but alas, it was out of commission. Improvisation is the key to a successful sewing project, so I used a stretch stitch with the smallest zig-zag setting to hem the sleeves. It created a neat, almost invisible finish that mimicked a straight stitch, but still has a slight amount of give to avoid popped stitches on a knit fabric. Crisis averted!<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\" \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The top perfectly complements the bottoms I made from a soft and stretchy knit fabric, also from Fabricville. The coffee print that I chose is no longer available on the website (obviously sold out due to how amazing it is), but there are so many other prints to choose from!\u00a0 Check out the Printed Jamas Soft Knit fabric selection<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Here are a few that I am thinking about for my next loungewear bottoms – and there will be many more, I guarantee it!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\u00a0These pants are an absolute dream to wear, featuring an elastic waistband for the ultimate comfort. The pattern I used is the Burda 6333 jogging pants pattern<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

I opted for the version with elasticized cuffs, adding a touch of sporty elegance to the design. What\u2019s more, these bottoms have practical hip pockets and the option for a faux fly, adding a touch of versatility to the pattern.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

What I adore most about this ensemble is how the fabrics coordinate beautifully. The colors match seamlessly, creating a cohesive look that’s perfect for those gloomy fall days when all you want to do is curl up on the couch with a good book. The sweatshirt fleece feels warm and inviting against my skin, while the knit bottoms provide the right amount of stretch for unrestricted movement.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Sewing this outfit has been almost instant-gratification.\u00a0 I used white thread in my serger to save time switching thread covers, and a neutral thread on my sewing machine that blended with both fabrics. These two pieces could be very easily sewn up in a weekend (or even a day if you are a quick sewist). I am thinking about selecting fabrics for some people on my holiday gift list and making some fun pj\/loungewear sets to give as gifts.\u00a0 Maybe even some coordinating family jammies!<\/span><\/p>\n
